so this week was so much better. especially because of christmas and the
skype call. it made me so happy to see my family and sierra. i loved it
so much! even though hangingup was probably the sencond hardest thing i
have had to do in my life. the first being saying goodbye the first
time! but after that the week has been pretty good. we had an
opportunity to give two priesthood blessing this week! one of our
investigators asked if we could give his cousin one because she was
having a major ear ache and then the second was a part member family
whose 7 month old daughter was really sick and they asked if we could
bless her so i got to perform the blessing and i had no idea what i said
but i know that the holy ghost told me what to say and by the next day
they said that she seemed to be back to normal. it was a real testimony
builder and i am so happy to have had that experience! so something that
i learned this week is that i get so stressed out when i try to control
the things that are really out of my reach. but i am learning that if i
change my mindset and focus on the things i can control that the rest
will be taken care of and fall into place how they are suppose to! the
Lord is so powerful and he will give us the desires of our hearts and
that he will help me in my life and everything will work out how they
should! so i have a great story to tell! i found out that me and Elder
Telga have magic suits. we made a new tradition and on the last sunday
of the transfer we wear our suits to church! so since this week is that
week we wore them and a miracle happened we had 5 investigators come to
church and 2 of them have a baptismal date that is coming up in this
transfer. it was so great to see and the work is starting to really pick
up again. i love it here and am so glad that me and Elder Telga get to
stay another transfer together! we are also getting another companion
for a little who is waiting for a visa to go to the nethert\lands he is
from suriname so that means that we will have 3 missionaries in our
appartment! wish us luck! haha so this morning i did the worst and
funnest thing so far on my mission! we woke up at
5 am
and climbed the highest peak on the island. pic paridise! it is 424
meters above sea level which is still lower than where we live in utah
but it was great you can see the whole island and the surrounding
islands and as a zone we took pictures and got to watch the amazing west
indies sunrise come over the horizon it was so beautiful! there is only
7 other people i wouldve wished could have been there and that is my
family and sierra! but someday soon i will bring them back to this
island and show them the beauties that i get to see everyday! i love you
so much and am so greatful for all the support that i get from you! i
love you so much and hope to hear from you soon! I LOVE YOU!!!!!!
love your Elder
Elder Woodruff!
PS pictures are on drop box! I LOVE YOU!!!
