Monday Message: January 27, 2014

this week has been really good. even though its only been 5 days since i talked to you last its crazy how 2 days makes such a huge difference! so we had district conference this week and it is nothing like the conferences we had in the states. i never knew how lucky i was to live so close to other members to be able to physically attend the stake meetings! here we do it over skype and we all know how reliable skype is! and even harder was that it was in french because it was in Guadeloupe! so Elder Telga had to translate it all and its just not the same. but it was still good i learned things from it and i know that others did as well! it was a great day as well because we had 6 investigators come to church and it couldve been more but Raj and beartina came just after again!! so it was really close to being 8 this time!!! it was so great to see all the work and how hard we have been trying to get people to church finally pay off!! and now we are trying even harder to help them make the steps of baptism and that is coming along really well to!!! we also got to do service on saturday and help a lady fix the road to her house it was really good and i love to do service and see the people so happy that we helped them! i love this work and so happy to be able to say im a missionary!! also this week i had to mow the lawn again! but now its not as bad it helps to relieve stress sometimes! i put pictures on dropbox. and i have to tell you. i eat fish all the time now. i never thought i would say that but its true and its so good here! and cheap so a missionary can buy it!!!!! so this week we had a great lesson with bernadette and can i say she is amazing! she shared her testimony on her side of the story on how we met here and it was amazing i am woriking on writing the whole story both sides and i will send it home in a letter but it is way to long for an e mail so i hope i can do that soon. she is being baptized the 8th of february and i am so excited and happy! so that was my week! not to full but it was only 5 days so next week will be more! i hope that you are all doing great and know that i love you! i hope to hear from you soon! i love you and have a great week. i will talk to you on monday! love you!

Wednesday Message: January 23, 2014

**Nate had Zone Conference the beginning of the week so his P-Day was moved to Wednesday**

this week has been the best one i am so happy right now and am so excited to put the things that i learned in the zone conference into use! i learned so much stuff and it just motivated me to do even more than i have been and really focussing on the work and loving the people!! i never thought that i would be able to develope such a strong love for the people here and especially so fast!! i love it here and the days seem to go by a lot faster and the homesickness is getting so much better! of course i still think about everyone and how i love them so much and how i do miss them but i know that heavenly father is answering my prayers and is helping me to have the peace of mind and be able to truly forget myself and just go to work!! it is like a huge relief to have that feeling and i truly do love teaching the Gospel! SO i have to tell you about Olmann he is 61 and amazing!! we got him when he was coming to english class and at the beginning didnt want anything to do with the church but lately he has been coming to church and at first it was just to learn english but last week he asked if he could be baptized and we were shocked! he has been reading the BOM and is really excited to be baptized on Feb. 15th he is so awesome and he even taught himself how to read and write because he never went to school!! or area has really exploded over the past couple weeks and it is so amazing! we also had enst's baptism this past saturday and it was great and soon we will have BErnadettes and she is so amazing she is my favorite and i love her so much! we have family home evening with her every monday night and we have adopted our self into her family! she is really progressing and is so happy for her baptism on the 8th of feb. she asks about it all the time and is reading and praying all the time!!! so i have the best two companions ever! they are so funny and help me a lot! they have this on going fight! its not really a fight but a joke and they say it all the time and i cant stop laughing its so funny to hear the things that they have to say to each other and the come backs that they can think of by using verses in the scriptures!! its funny how missionaries can find all different kind of ways to apply the scriptures and to be able to say random verses to answer things that people say!! our favorite one to use right know it probably " get thee behind me satan!" and the scriptures are so amazing! oh my day! i almost forgot to say what i learned from zone conference! i learned that the only way to teach and to help people repent is to ask inspired questions and leave them commitments!!! i am so glad that i was able to have zone conference it helped me so much!!! so i have to tell you all we had to memorize! Monday Message: January 13, 2014

So this week has been good! it started out with FHE with bernadette thomas and her family and we had such a great time and i think it really helped her grow she is progressing so much and has a baptism for the 8th of feb. we are really hapy\py for her because she tells us that we are her special blessing and the way we found her is truly a miracle of itself! i am so excited!!!then we even taught her by the georges and that was such a great lesson they have been such good fellowshippers to her and she loves them!!! so i guess the rest of the week was hard but it wasnt bad!!! everything was falling through and we had a really poor time getting lessons but it probably didnt help that we had to stay home a day because of Elder Telga having strep throat!! that was horrible! none of us inthe apartment really feel the best but we are surviving and will live for sure! and i know that the blessings of this work come after the hard trials that are placed before us! i saw that sunday when we had 5 invest. come to sacrament and 2 more came after to the other meetings and out of the 7 there 4 have baptisms coming in the next 4 weeks crazy huh!! we have enst this weeek the 18th and then the 25th is beartina an 9 year old girl! and then the 1st is steing he is awesome we will  get him on a mission soon!!! and then the 8th is bernadette!! i sure hope that we can help them make this step and i know that the will be greatly accepted and loved in the branch!!! miracle really are happening in our area and i am so happy for that!! but i do have sad news today! Monday Message: January 6, 2014 with Pictures

Happy New Years! i hope that it was amazing! for me it was just a normal day nothing different! when i woke up i even forgot it was new years! i slept through the fireworks and everything! Elder telga said they were huge but even he only saw them for two minutes and fell back asleep! so elder abankie is here and our room has shrunk so much it is so different having 3 men in one room! and it takes us so long in the morning to get ready but it is great we are learning so much from each other and i know that hearing anothers opinion and testimony has truly helped mine grow! so this week has been a good week things are getting better and better each day! i am really starting to love the people here and really want to help them! but on the other hand this week was a slow week! even elder telga told me that he thought it was a slow one! its weird how it can either be fast or slow there is no in between! but i would much rather have the fast one they are much better! and also this week we got a lot acomplished! we had patrick ( a member, he is 18) come with us to teach and since that would make 4 of us we went on splits and got to teach twice as many people it was great! i went with elder abankie and since he knows spanish i took him to all of the places that we never teach because the people only speak spanish so we were able to contact new people and help the spanish people of the island hear the gospel! Even though i cant understand what they say i know that this message is true and that they can learn to love the gospel as well! its amazing how the spirit works with people! so i got the christmas package this week and i loved it and so did Elder Telga! i love the new tie that was in it and it is one of my favorites along with the 3 others that i got from the most amazing and special person in my life! ( along with my mom!) so funny story of the week! i have officially had to sew by my self this week! i was walking past a table and my pants got caught on a peice of metal and ripped them right on the pocket so i was so angry and upset but i think that i did an ok job at fixing them. even though its nothing like mom could do! but im proud of it haha! the picture is on drop box! also another good moment that you will be so happy that Elder Telga is my companion is that he is teaching me how to eat! he wont let me take anything out of the food that we eat! he makes me eat it! so i eat a lot of tomatoes and beans now because they come in everything and i cant take them out haha:) but i am getting used to it and its not so bad any more! and i am trying to eat healthy so i am not so tired like before! and i hope it will help! oh before i forget so on the week of the 20th i wont get to email until wednesday because we will have a zone conference on that monday! but i wont forget about you it will just be on wednesday instead of monday! i still love you with all of my heart!  and last but not least i will have a good picture of our birhtday party that we will have tomorrow! i promised elder telga that if we were companions on his birhtday i would buy him a cake! i kept my promise and the best part is his birthday is saturday and elder abankies is tomorrow so its like i kill 2 birds with one stone haha i really lucked out! but i am happy to do that for them and they are such amazing people in my life even though i havent known them that long i can honestly say that i love them! and i love you so much thank you for all of your support you are so amazing!! i love you!!!!!!
