Monday Message: February 24, 2014 - 5 months down!

So this week i can honestly say is a good week to put behind me! i have been kind of stressed this week i can probably say it was in the orange level this whole week so not as bad as it could be but it was a long week! i wont complain though because i know that it could be worse and there are many people that are in the red at times! but between getting told that we werent working hard enough and not getting enough lessons on the week and just the small things that was going on through out the week i will say it was just a long week! but i try not to let those things bother me because i know that me and Elder Sorensen did work hard this week and we were trying to be exactly obedient so i can honestly say it was a good week for us! of course there is always room for improvement and we are working on the little things to help us be as exactly obedient as possible but for what our job and purpose that we need to accomplish at this moment i think that we did great this week. i can say with out a doubt that we did work hard and we did the things we were suppose to this week so im not going to be bothered by the little things like before! the saying that i learned from baseball has really applied its self this week! control what you can control! but other than that i am doing really good and i am getting to know the area better! we only got lost 2 times this week which is a good record!!!and it is really becoming easier to work with the people because i am loving it here all ready!!! so that is basically my whole week! we are getting used to it and i love to hear from all of you ! thank you for all the love and support you give to me! everytime i am feeling sad or down i know i can pray and i feel the love that you have for me!!! i love you all and hope that i hear from you soon! you are the best and i am so glad to have you in my life!! I LOVE YOU!!!!I LOVE YOU!!!!I LOVE YOU!!!!I LOVE YOU!!!!I LOVE YOU!!!!I LOVE YOU!!!!I LOVE YOU!!!!I LOVE YOU!!!!I LOVE YOU!!!!I LOVE YOU!!!! 5 months down!! in the teens again only 19 months left! i cant wait to see you all!I LOVE YOU!!!!I LOVE YOU!!!!I LOVE YOU!!!!I LOVE YOU!!!!

First Week in St. Lucia

So this week has been ok i would say! a little bit on the rough side but i am not complaining!! st lucia is a nice island and we live in the country so basically the jungle and it is really beautiful, but i feel kind of secluded from things. i know that things will be better as the weeks go on but the first few will be a little slow and hard but that is why they call it work i guess huh!! we have been contacting a lot the past couple of days and are just trying to learn our area and find people so we dont have to contact for 12 hours a day! but it is good me and elder sorensen are getting a long really well and we can talk about anything i think that we help each other out by just talking and making the work fun! the only thing is that he has only been out 6 weeks longer than me so we are both still young missionaries and so it feels like a lot is riding on our shoulders! even though its not st maarten and nothing will ever compare to it it is a nice place and i will get used to it as soon as we fix the apartment up and get it cleaned so it is a comfortable place to be it will be nice!!! my testimony of prayer has really grown and i am so greatful that i am able to speak to my father in heaven any time i am having a hard day! i love it! so i hope that you all have a great week and i am so happy to hear from all of you. you have no idea how happy it makes me and how much stress is lifted off of my shoulders when i talk to you i seriously love you so much and cant wait to see you all again!! I LOVE YOU!!! you are always in my prayers!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!!I LOVE YOU!!! i hope to hear from you soon and i love letters! i love you so much talk to you next week!

Final pictures from St. Maarten

Nate was transferred to St. Lucia this past Wednesday so these are the last pictures we will be seeing from St. Maarten. I know that he was sent there to find Bernadette and bring her the knowledge and truth of the gospel. The pictures show just how strong the spirit was there that day! So proud of him!!

Monday Message: February 10, 2014 - FIRST BAPTISM!!

hello everyone! i hope that you are all great! so last week i told you how i didnt like change remember? and this week i had the biggest surprise i think ever! I am getting transfered to St lucia!! you could say that i wasnt ready for that one! it hit me like a ton of bricks! i dont even know what to think!! but oh well i am really excited and really scared to go to vioux-fort and especially to open a new area! thats a lot of resposibility but i know that if i trust in the lord he will help me and i will beable to help the people there! i know he sent me there for a reason!! so this week we had a great day on satuday both Steing and Bernadette were baptized in the ocean and it was such a great experience and i know that that is why i was here in st maarten! i know that i was a tool in GOds hand to help them and now i am need elsewhere! i am so happy to have been able to be here on st maarten especially with such a great companion! i truly love him and the people here and i hope to make it back to this island soon!!! i am so thankful for your support and all that you do for me!! i hope that you all have a great week. sorry this week is so short i have a lot going on and things i have to get done and to still pack i promise next week will be longer!! i love you so much and please be safe and i will talk to you next week!! i love you so much!! Monday Message: February 3, 2014

So this week has been good. i guess i cant complain about anything that happened and we taught a lot of people this week! and i even survived another exchange. im not going to lie that is probably the worst part about transfers and im not really sure why! i think it might be because i dont do to well with change and it is such a quick change and i have to have a new companion for the day and to me im not the one who adapts quickly as you probably know it takes me a little to get used to things. but other than the initial stress it was actually a good exchange. it was me, Elder Abankie, and Elder Ehlert and i think we had a good day. even though we didnt have the truck and we had to choose the day that it rains the hardest to walk everywhere with out the umbrellas because we left them all in the truck!!! lets just say that when i got home that night i could still wring water out of all my clothes even my shoes! but it was probably one of the funnest experiences ive had so far and it made me feel like i was a missionary and was able to do anything for the lord even walk through the pouring rain to spread his word! So this week is a special week for me! not only for me but for everyone who is involved! Bernadette AND Stieng are both being baptized on saturday along with one of the sisters investigators! I am so happy for them all and there decision. and i am so greatful for Bernadette. She has asked me to do the Baptism for her and she even wants it done in the Ocean! which is a double bonus for me! and with Steing it is a happy day as well because he told us on sunday that he wanted to be baptized this week and we looked at all the things we taught him and the way that he has truly shown he is ready to be baptized this week by his actions and the things that he has been doing so we talked and prayed about it and got the feeling that he is ready to be baptized and he is so excited as well! i am so happy for them and it reminds me of my favorite scripture in Alma 29:9 that my joy is full not because of me but because of them and the help that God has given me to be an instrument to help them and to really lose myself in the work and worry about their needs and not my own comforts or luxuries!! i truly do t\love it here and i love doing the things that God asks me to do. even though somedays it is the hardest thing i have ever done but it is the most rewarding as well!( even more rewarding than sports and that is saying something). I love God, and his Son, i love doing his work and i can see his hand in all we are doing! things can be hard but i know they will get better! i am happy to say things are getting easier and i am so greatful for all of your support!! I LOVE YOU!! and i hope to hear from you soon! have a great week and i will talk to you next week! i love you so much! never forget that!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!
